Web Site Traffic Promotion.7 Terrific Traffic Ideas
That Don't Include Seo Jvs And The Expensive Ppc

Traffic? Have you been banging your head against the wall trying to come up with ways to increase your website traffic without emptying your bank account?. Yes we know that PPC can lose you thousands of dollars, unless you are on of the lucky few who posses the Undercoverprofit membership or google adwords miracle.Plus SEO is very expensive and time consuming unless of course you have search great yet very expensive tools like SEO ELITE.

Then the JV, oh that intimidating process of contacting the gurus to JV with you , then coupled with rejection letters. I guess you have experienced it if you have stayed online for some length of time.
So what do you do when in such a dilemma? Yet you need loads of traffic to make money online?

Remember, we are talking about targeted traffic. Laser targeted, highly motivated customers ready to whip out their wallets and input their credit cards. You are searching for El Dorado. You know it's there. You've read that others have found it. There is a path and it starts here.

Below are five diverse methods that you start to use to drive targeted customers to your site with the knowledge you gain here.

1. Join the world and start a blog! Blogging is the craze of this internet generation. A blog is online diary that can be easily updated. Your readers can even leave comments or answer polls. By just setting one up you create another link into your site. People love blogs and love to read what others have to say. By creating a blog on a subject related to your website you already have targeted visitors who won’t hesitate to click onto your website if they want to learn more information.

Setting one up is extremely easy and most blog websites are free. I recommend trying out Blogger.com as it’s operated by Google. Also, by setting up a blog on Blogger.com you can almost guarantee you’ll be picked up by Google spiders quicker than if you manually submitted your website to them. Although there are great advantages to posting to a Blogger site you always want to have a blog hosted on your own site. Blogger will take down sites and sometimes for no apparent reason. You can lose all your data and traffic in seconds. Apart from blogger, I have personnally used wordpress successfully. The first time I opened up my word press blog, I made two sales that day. And these were highly priced items. The unfortunate thing is that I got this blog deleted or removed by word press for reasons I did not even know.

I cannot access it now. May be it is my computer. it was located at http://www.softerdreams.wordpress.com If it is still there, you can send me an email to tell me.

2- Have you seen the next thing to bloging? I do not know what to call it, but it is called a lense. You simply open up a lense, and post any message relating to your topic or business. Provided you update it every day, people will visit this lense even from places you never expected. At your lens, you only post little information about your product or website and then point the reader to your product webpage. In other words, a lens is just a starting point for surfers, not the finishing point. So your offer is the finishing point.

Lenses rank really highly in google, often #1 for non-competitive search terms, and tags help your lens come up for SPECIFIC search terms.

What you have to keep in mind is your probable visitor's mind before he/she finds your lense. What might a person new to your subject search for? Might they type a QUESTION into google? For example, someone might type: Vitamin booster? If you had this as a tag on your vitamin booster lens then you would probably come up quite high!

Do you have a lens about camera memory cards?
Maybe this would be a good tag: what memory cards work with cameraX. Not everybody is going to search google for that, but those who do will probably find you.

So you have to think foward. Will anyone in your target audience type a QUESTION into google? What might they type? Think of some examples, and add them as tags!

You can start up your own lens at Squidoo in only five minutes and it is free. Plus check out my own make money online lens here (Feel free to contact me when you experience any dificult in setting up your lens)

3. Make forums related to your niche, your daily destination. There are people talking about your niche on any number of forums and groups. Join several and provide accurate content rich answers to their questions. Be seen as a helper, someone who is truly interested in the topic and the people. Do not spam. Do not advertise but place your site in your signature line. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the number of good customers you'll receive. If people are motivated enough to join a forum or group to discuss their issue then they most likely are motivated to find good information. The other advantage is that your will also gain a lot of knowledge from the experts in your niche. All the gurus in your niche usually hang out in forums. So if you need to rub shoulders with them, it is good you go there.

*Important though * Remember you also have to give the impression of an expert in your niche when answering questions. So you should not openly ask questions. Be the contributor. But if you need so of your questions answered, what I usually do is identify the epert and PM him /her. That way, your inefficiencies are not known by the public.

4.Bum Market to get targeted traffic. Well, bum marketing is a very wide topic that has recently taken trend. It so wide that I cannot discuss it in this volume. But briefly, bum marketing is article marketing to earn money. What you do is to do research on keywords, I recommend keyword elite. Then you identify the key words with little competition ( not above 15000) but some good searches performed on it in a recent month. Then you go to click bank, choose a product related to that topic, write and article about it. Then in your resource box on the article, you include a link to that product. You then submit your article to three recommended article directories which google loves so much. These article directories are Ezinearticles.com, Goartcles.com and searchwarp.com
With a few weeks, your article will show up on google for a term related to your topic. But you have to make sure that the title of the article contains the keyword or key phrase you are targeting. That is the only SEO you will need with bum marketing.Bum marketing gets traffic to your website simply by riding on the back of the already established higly trafficed sites. Watch out for my next ezine where I will completely disect bum marketing.

5. Viral marketing has a mystique about it. The first site that accidentally took real advantage of this method was Interview With God. The owner of the site published a public domain poem on the net just a couple of months before 9/11. His site was ?discovered' by many people who took solace from the poetry and began sending the site to all of their friends. The rest was history. The essence of viral marketing is sharing information with people you know. There are several avenues open to you and even more if you use your imagination. You can take advantage of social networking sites and social bookmarking sites where you can share your information with all of your new ?friends'. Tell a friend scripts on your site can encourage your current visitors to tell their friends. You'll find that people will tell their friends if your site is funny, touching or if you offer incentive. Another technique is to offer free information through ebooks with links back to your site.

6-Article marketing. This is different from the bum marketing method I have talked about above. With bum marketing, you are basically tarketing low competitive keyword. But here I mean geting traffic for even those highly competitive keywords such as mine which is Make money only and internet marketing. Article marketing has been a topic of conversation for several years now. People seem to attempt this particular avenue and get discouraged easily. Although this type of marketing will economically generate targeted customers it is a time consuming job. The best technique to use is to post at least three to four articles per week to two or three of the top article directories. It's not necessary to post to 300 directories, just the ones with high page ranks like ezinearticles.com. These article postings do three things. You have back links from a site with a high page rank; you have access to publishers and your content will be found on organic searches based on the keywords and phrases you enter when you post to the directory.

7. Do you have expert knowledge on a particular subject that relates to your website and business? You not only can share that knowledge in groups and forums but also by using answer sites through Yahoo Answers or eHow.com. In these arenas people post questions and others post answers. People who read the answers rate them. Your site gets traffic when people perceive that you are giving high quality answers.

MySpace.com Traffic

8. Using MySpace.com to advertise your website has become a new way to increase your traffic. This site is mainly a “people meeting” site but you can list your website and create friendships with thousands of people in a very short time.

You simply need to mention your website URL when you send a message to the community bulletin board. This can create a tremendous flood of traffic to your website as there are over 35,000,000 subscribers to MySpace.com.

You have the knowledge to drive traffic to your site. This may not be the flood of traffic that dreams are made of but they are targeted customers, the most important kind of traffic. As your skill using these techniques improves so will the number of buying customers visiting your site. And isn't that the point? By spending a little time and using some creativity, promoting your website doesn’t have to drain your bank account. Take some time to check out these opportunities and you’ll find yourself with a steady stream of website traffic in no time.

How To Get Traffic To Your Site

By: Bradley Carson

There are several ways to get traffic to your site. You can pay for your traffic or get it for free. I'd like to concentrate on free traffic.

The first thing you need to do is make sure your site is key-word optimized for the search engines. For a new site, using low competition words can help you to get placed high on some search engines and give you much needed targeted traffic. If you have a site with several categories, doing at least one optimization a day will slowly but surely build your business. With more than one category this gives you an opportunity to be placed on the search engine with each category and not just your front page.

Another way to help build targeted traffic and links to your site is a blog. You can have the blog linked to your site. If you update your site regularly and 'ping' your blog with one of the free pinging services, you will gradually build your traffic and business.

There are many sites that have free content that you can use on your blog. Once you've set up the blog and find the right ping service, this would only take you a few moments a day. When using free articles, be sure and use proper etiquette, giving the author credit for his writing.

The tried and true way to build 'free' traffic and links, is articles. You can write about anything you want or about the services or products your website distributes. If you're not able to write the articles yourself, there are a number of services available that can do it for you (you pay). Then post your article to as many directories as possible. Webmasters are constantly on the look out for good, new content.

The number of links to your site is critical in your placement with most search engines. Articles and a blog help build your site targeted traffic slowly. But to speed up your linking process, you could search and join some link exchange sites. The more links the better.

The Three Paths to Better Link Building

by Enzo F. Cesario

Information drives the World Wide Web: websites, articles, directories, databases, blogs, vlogs. Where there's a desire for information, there is someone on the web who either has it or is willing to provide it. Sites host everything from personal interests to highly rated, peer-reviewed academic articles intended for circulation among the intellectual elite. The web is the single greatest achievement in the field of human interaction and information sharing, putting a great part of the entire sum of human knowledge at the fingertips of anyone with a computer and a telecom connection, and it is ridiculously easy to get lost in the utter volume of the sites presented.

There are many tools out there for getting your content noticed. Social media networks, article directories, linking hubs, and user forums all present opportunities to advertise and build up interest in a site's content. Perhaps the most common tool in this arsenal of promotion is the discipline of link building. Link building is the promotion of your site to other sites that will then provide a link back to it. The theory basically asserts that when site A links to site B, a portion of site A's traffic will then look toward site B, hopefully leading to continued visits, promotion, and possibly even revenue.

Link building is not simply about volume, however. In fact, it is much more a matter of quality and discernment than it is quantity of links. There are a number of mistakes to avoid, and a number of techniques that will help you get the most out of a proper link building campaign.

Choose Relevant Links

Ideally, link building is more than collecting as many links as possible from any indiscriminate source. People go to websites for very specific reasons; they go to Google to search, to YouTube for videos, to Half for great shopping bargains. They do not go to YouTube for complex technical articles or to Half for custom furniture commissions. If in our example site A focuses on fiction writing as a general craft, and site B does as well, this is a relevant link. People from site A will be interested in site B on at least some level, because they provide related content. However, if site B is a site pertaining to the art and craft of personal finance, site A's membership isn't as likely to be interested. In fact, improperly chosen links can have a detrimental effect on a site's traffic. Savvy users dismiss a site that chooses irrelevant links.

This isn't to say that every link has to be an exact match, content for content. Continuing the previous example, the fiction-writing site may link to a fiction-publishing site that offers agents interested in looking for new material. These are not identical services, but are definitely related, and the links are chosen for that reason.

Be Reciprocal

In the most basic sense, the idea of reciprocity is to return the favor by linking to sites that have linked to yours. This encourages cooperation, allows both sites to benefit from wider audiences, and is basically an example of common courtesy. However as mentioned before, not every link is relevant and people have vastly different reasons for linking to various sites. A blogger may link to a particular author or article they find outstanding. The author in question may be grateful, but their readership might not be interested in this other person's blog, for whatever reason. In this case, they are not (and indeed never are) obligated to return the favor. However, failing to return the link could be construed as impolite at least, and possibly lead to one of those 'internet reputations' that cause headaches.

In such cases, there are ways to be reciprocal without returning a link. Suppose someone has taken the time to link you, as in the case above, but your site audience just isn't targeted to the site in question. Send a brief email to the site owner, thanking them for the link. This acknowledges the service they've provided, leading to possible future communication. If you know another site that is relevant to your benefactor, consider offering to put them in touch, further cementing the opportunity to establish a relationship with someone who has provided you a service. The key is to be inventive, rather than to reflexively link and possibly end up off message.

Provide High Quality Content

This has been stressed many times, but it remains a vital truth. People are more likely to link to a site providing content that offers quality for every click, be it in terms of content or services. A well-designed forum with a number of insightful posts, diverse discussion topics, and active moderation is more likely to attract visitors and links than a site using a basic, shoddy interface in which a number of spam bots make irrelevant sales pitches in poorly-constructed English. Give your site a chance to get noticed and get promoted. Make it the very best site you can, promoting materials that people will want to link to when given the chance.

Use Article Submission Directories To Market Your Website

by jgaulard

The Internet is full of advertising opportunities and what is great about many of these advertising opportunities is that they are free. That's right. You don't have to pay anything. You do, however, have to put in some effort to ensure that it is done. You can't exactly market your business without doing anything unless you hire someone else to do it for you. Nevertheless, it is sometimes easier to pay with your time than your money. Then again, you may choose to pay with your money instead of your time in order to get a job done right.

Whichever way you choose to do it, article submission directories are a great way to market your business. The correct name for this is "article marketing." It is something that has picked up at phenomenal speed in recent years because people want to know things. People seek out articles for information and, when they find it, they will click on the website link at the bottom of that article to learn even more. This means that the article has to be interesting enough or contain enough valuable information to make them want to click the link at the bottom.

Making the article interesting

Speaking of making the article interesting, how is it you do that? How does a person make an informational article interesting? You may think it is a bit difficult, but, really, what you need to do is throw in enough information that says, "Hey, this is the article to read. If you don't read me, then you"re not going to learn the ropes of this stuff." You want your article to be "the one" to read for information.

So first, start out with an idea. Come up with an angle that excites you. If the angle doesn't excite you, then you're not going to be able to convey any type of excitement through your writing. You're going to find an end product that is monotone and bland. Monotone and bland will literally make you think "yuck, what was I thinking?" Well, probably not much.

As you write the article, you can throw in bullet points and subtitles to make it easier to read. People love subtitles and bullet points because ideas are divided up in an easy-to-understand way. You don't want someone to be reading and then keep losing their place in the article because they don't have a point of reference. At the same time, be interesting. Think about what you would like to read. If you won't read it, they won't read it.

Writing the article yourself vs. someone else doing it

Here is a good question that businesses ask themselves when looking to embark on article marketing: "Do I write the articles myself or do I have someone else do it?" This is a good question because not everyone has a propensity for writing or they may not have the time. It is usually a time issue, so they may hire someone to write the articles for them. Hiring a writer to take care of it can be cost-effective because it is the difference between having the article written for submission and not having it written for submission. Obviously, it is better to have the article written and submitted.

As for other options, you can choose to have it written for you and just submit it yourself or you can choose to have the writer submit it for you too. It is up to you, but it is important to do what you can to get the job done when marketing through an article submission directory.

Is this type of marketing necessary?

Really, in a world in which the Internet is the way in which business is done, it is important to take advantage of all marketing methods that have been made available to you. Article marketing is huge and this is because it is successful.
